we're official

it seems to be ill-proportioned-- the amount of time we anticipate the day, this week, is vastly longer than the actual occurrence of the dream. In less than a week we'll be in Jarabacoa. In less than 3 weeks we'll be full-time teachers. It's hard to fathom what life will be like at the end of all this anticipation.

It was hard to imagine what it would feel like to experience "the wedding day", but it all came and went like a dream, practically painless (unlike the planning process...)
Still I am so full of Thanksgiving to everyone who played a part in making the day special. Our families are amazing and our friends are priceless. I have never felt humility like this before, as God has never put me in a position of receiving goodness, love, and gifts like this before. He is doing a great work on my heart now, for I have discovered that it is a challenge for me to receive these things, but a lesson worth learning nonetheless.

<< but we are like an olive tree
flourishing in the house of God;
we trust in God's unfailing love
for ever and ever. >> psalm 52
